Police investigating wounding at Albion

Detectives have charged a man after a 31-year-old man sustained a wound at Albion overnight.

It will be alleged around 8.15pm an altercation occurred between two men at Albion Station during which a man received a single stab wound to his back.

The men are not known to each other. The offender ran from the scene.

The injured man was transported to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital where he remains in a stable condition.

Around 4.30pm today detectives located a man at a Stafford Heights residence.

He has been charged with one count of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Investigations are ongoing.
