Police investigating wounding at Chinchilla

Queensland Police are investigating after a man sustained a gunshot wound at Chinchilla this afternoon, December 5.

Investigations indicate just before 1:30pm, three people have attended a Rodger Street address before they confronted a 36-year-old male resident.

During this altercation, the male resident sustained a gunshot wound to his neck.

The group have then fled the address in a silver utility vehicle with a white bumper.

The 36-year-old man was airlifted in a serious condition from Chinchilla to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.

Investigations into locating the vehicle and the three men reportedly involved are ongoing, and detectives are appealing to anyone who may have seen anything suspicious to come forward.
