Police investigating wounding at Lawnton

A 26-year-old man has been charged following an alleged wounding incident at Lawnton overnight (December 9).

Just before 10.30pm at a Gympie Road licensed premises, it will be alleged a 30-year-old Petrie man was struck to the head with a glass, causing serious injuries.

He was transported to the Prince Charles Hospital in a (serious/stable) condition.

The 26-year-old Strathpine man was taken into custody at the scene.

He has been charged with one count of unlawful wounding and is expected to appear before Pine Rivers Magistrates Court on February 16.

Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or who may have more information, to contact them.
