Police investigating wounding at Noosa

Detectives from Noosa Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged two teenagers after an alleged assault at Main Beach at Noosa overnight.

It will be alleged at 10.40pm two teenagers approached a 15-year-old boy and an altercation occurred during which it is believed a broken bottle has been used to strike the victim a number of times.

The two boys fled the scene but were located a short time later on the boardwalk by police.

A 17-year-old Highgate Hill boy and a 16-year-old Camira boy have both been charged with one count of grievous bodily harm.

The 17-year-old Highgate Hill boy was denied police bail and will appear in the Maroochydore Childrens Court. The other boy will appear at a later date.

The 15-year-old boy from Victoria was transported to hospital in a stable condition with facial injuries.
