Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a teen after a fatal crash in Corio early this morning.
Emergency services were called to reports of a Mazda sedan crashing into a pole on School Road about 2am.
The front seat passenger of the vehicle, 17-year-old boy from the Greater Geelong area, died at the scene.
A 16-year-old boy from the Greater Geelong Area, alleged to be the driver, has been charged with culpable driving, dangerous driving cause death and other driving offences.
He will be presented before a court later today.
