Serious Crime Detectives have charged the 26-year-old man arrested earlier today following an aggravated assault incident in Palmerston last weekend.
The two men were waiting to be served when an argument escalated and the 26-year-old allegedly assaulted a 33-year-old man with an edged weapon, before fleeing the scene.
He was charged with:
- acts intend to cause serious harm
- drive whilst disqualified
- assault police
- disorderly behaviour in a police station
He was remanded in custody and will appear in Darwin Local Court at a later date.
