Police lay charges - Aggravated assault - Moulden

Northern Territory Police have charged a 25-year-old man with aggravated assault in relation to an incident which occurred yesterday.

At about 6:00am, police responded to a report of an unconscious injured woman lying on the ground near a bike path in Moulden. Upon arrival, police located a 23-year-old female who had suffered significant facial injuries.

The victim was transported to Royal Darwin Hospital where she was placed in an induced coma.

The 25-year-old male was located nearby, arrested and conveyed to the Palmerston Watch House. He has been charged with:

  • aggravated assault
  • recklessly endangering serious harm.

Police bail has been refused.
