Police lay charges - Aggravated robbery - Palmerston 30 March

Northern Territory Police have arrested a 44-year-old male and a 39-year-old female in relation to a robbery at an adult store in Palmerston.

On Saturday 27 March 2021, the pair entered the store where they allegedly attempted to leave the store without paying for items. The store attendant confronted the pair, when one of them allegedly rushed the attendant, pushing her out the front door of the shop and then proceeded to assault the attendant while the other collected items and fled the area.

Police attended a short time later.

On the morning of 29 March 2021, Serious Crime Detectives attended a premises in Virginia where they arrested the pair.

The male was charged with:

  • 1 x Aggravated robbery
  • 1 x Possess schedule 1 drug

The female was charged with:

  • 1 x Aggravated robbery
  • 1 x Possess schedule 8 substance

Both were remanded in custody to appear in Darwin Local Court today, 30 March 2021.
