Police lay charges - Aggravated robbery in Darwin 13 January

Northern Territory Police have charged a man in relation to a robbery in Darwin City earlier this week.

At around 1:40pm on Tuesday, police received reports that two males had robbed a business on Cavanagh Street. One of the males had allegedly threatened a member of staff with a blunt weapon before fleeing the scene with a quantity of alcohol.

A 19-year-old male was arrested yesterday and has since been charged with aggravated robbery by detectives from Serious Crime.

He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.

Detective Senior Sergeant Brett Cottier said, "We have one outstanding offender for this incident and detectives are currently searching for him.

"This behaviour has no place in our community".
