Police lay charges over drug offences - Howard Springs

Northern Territory Police have charged two men with drug offences following a warrant execution in Howard Springs.

Police located 2310 grams of cannabis, five grams of methamphetamine, an unsecured firearm, ammunition and $5365 cash during a search of a property yesterday.

A 28-year-old male, a member of Mongrel Mob Outlaw Motorcycle Gang, was present at the property during the search.

A 32-year-old male has been charged with:

  • Supply schedule 2 dangerous drug - Commercial quantity
  • Possess schedule 2 dangerous drug - Commercial quantity
  • Supply schedule 1 dangerous drug - Less than commercial quantity
  • Possess schedule 1 dangerous drug - Traffickable quantity
  • Possess property received from the commission of an offence
  • Possess thing to administer drug
  • 3x Fail to meet storage requirements

The 28-year-old male was charged with:

  • Supply schedule 2 dangerous drug - Commercial quantity
  • Possess schedule 2 dangerous drug - Commercial quantity
  • Possess schedule 1 dangerous drug - Traffickable quantity

Both men were refused police bail and are due to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
