Police lay charges over offensive comments - Watsons Bay

A man has been charged over allegedly making offensive comments in Sydney's east.

About 2.40pm on Sunday 22 October 2023, police will allege in court that a man had made a number of offensive comments towards a group of people on a beach in Watsons Bay.

Officers from Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were later notified and commenced an investigation.

Following inquiries, a 26-year-old man attended Bankstown Police Station about 4pm yesterday (Thursday 26 October 2023), where he was charged with two counts of stalk/Intimidate with intent to cause fear of physical harm.

He was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Waverley Local Court on Thursday 16 November 2023.
