Illawarra Child Safe Sport Roadshow

NSW Office of Sport

Play your part in keeping children safe in sport

The NSW Office of Sport and Wollongong City Council will host a series of interactive child safety workshops in the Illawarra next week to help local sporting organisations keep children safe from harm and abuse in sport.

The workshops will provide practical information on the simple steps sports clubs can take to protect children in relation to de-escalation of challenging behaviour, managing child safety risks and the implementation of Child Safe Standards.

The workshops will be held at Wollongong, Dapto and Woonona from 10-12 November and will be delivered by the Office of Sport and the Office of the Children's Guardian.
