Police lay charges over property offences - Palmerston

Strike Force Trident officers have charged a 29-year-old man with property offences following an alleged unlawful entry in Palmerston on Saturday 8 February.

At 3:08am, police responded to an audible alarm at a licensed premises. The offender had left the premises prior to police arrival; however police were able to identify him via CCTV. Police allege the man gained entry to the location and stole five bottles of alcohol.

The man was located by officers from Strike Force Trident in Palmerston CBD at 9:20am yesterday. He was arrested and conveyed to Palmerston Watch House.

He is due to appear in Darwin Local Court today for:

  • aggravated unlawful entry
  • damage to property
  • stealing
