A man has been arrested after crashing a stolen car at Blakeview.
Police will allege that about 3am today (Wednesday 4 December) a patrol was conducting speed detection duties on Main North Road, when they recorded a black Suzuki station wagon exceeding the speed limit.
Further checks revealed the car had been stolen overnight from an Elizabeth Park address.
When police attempted to stop the car it continued to speed away, and police terminated the pursuit due to safety reasons.
A short time later, the car was found by other patrols on Craigmore Road.
Cordons were set up in the area after three males were seen running from the car, with one of them arrested nearby.
Enquiries continue to locate the other two suspects.
A 25-year-old man from Davoren Park face numerous charges including illegal use of a motor vehicle, driving at a dangerous speed and drive unlicenced.
He has been bailed to appear in the Elizabeth Magistrates Court on 20 January.
