Police Make Arrest - Aggravated Assault - Minyerri 24 February

The Northern Territory Police Force has arrested a 34-year-old man following an aggravated assault in Minyerri.

Around 8:15am on Tuesday, the Joint Emergency Services Communication Centre received a report of an aggravated assault in the Minyerri community.

A 34-year-old man is alleged to have stabbed a 32-year-old man in the head with an edged weapon before fleeing the scene.

Police attended and established a crime scene while the victim was conveyed to the local health clinic in a serious condition.

The 34-year-old made himself known to police shortly after and was subsequently arrested.

Both men are known to one another.
