Police make arrest - Aggravated robbery - Karama 13 February

Northern Territory Police have arrested two youths in relation to an aggravated robbery at Karama over the weekend.

Shortly before 12:30am on Saturday, three youths who were in the vicinity of a shopping centre in Karama approached an employee who was closing down a business.

The group allegedly entered the store and then attempted to steal the company vehicle. The employee intervened and a physical altercation occurred. The employee suffered minor injuries before the offenders fled the scene on foot with a set of keys.

An investigation to identify the offenders lead police to a residence in Wulagi later in the day, were a 15-year-old was arrested. He was taken to Palmerston Watch House and charged with unlawful entry and aggravated robbery.

He was remanded to appear before court today.

Additionally, Strike Force Trident have arrested a 17-year-old male in relation to his involvement in the incident. He is assisting police with their enquiries and is expected to be charged later today.
