Police make arrest - Canning Vale and Thornlie Fire Series

Officers from Strike Force Vulcan have charged a 45-year-old man in relation to a series of deliberately lit fires which occurred in the Canning Vale/Thornlie area.
Between Thursday 27 January and Saturday 12 February 2022, it will be alleged the man lit eight separate fires outside residential properties.
The 45-year-old man from Canning Vale has been charged with eight counts of Criminal Damage by Fire.
He will appear before the Perth Magistrates Court on Tuesday 8 March 2022.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing and officers are seeking to locate a blue and white Tebco Explorer electric bicycle that the 45-year-old man had in his possession prior to his arrest.
