Police make arrest - Fail to comply with a direction

A 22-year-old woman had been arrested, charged and refused bail after failing to comply with a direction under the Emergency Management Act 2005.

The woman arrived in Western Australia from Victoria on 7 February 2021, and is subject to a 14-day self-quarantine direction.

It is alleged around 1:25pm on Sunday 14 February 2021, the woman left her self-quarantine location in breach of self-quarantine directions.

The 22-year-old woman has been charged with three counts of 'Failed to Comply with a Direction' (Section 86 1A) Emergency Management Act 2005.

She is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 16 February 2021.
