Police make arrest - Stolen motor vehicle in Darwin 4 September

Northern Territory Police have arrested 2 adults and a youth after a stolen motor vehicle pursuit along the Stuart Highway overnight.

Around 8:30pm, a white Toyota Landcruiser was stolen from the corner of Mitchell Street and Daly Street in Darwin City.

The vehicle was located by police a short time later travelling outbound on the Stuart Highway and a pursuit was initiated.

Strike Force Trident and general duties from Palmerston and Humpty Doo responded, and Tire Deflation Devices were deployed successfully in Noonamah with the vehicle coming to a stop safely.

The vehicle then reversed into one police vehicle and attempted to reverse into another before officers arrested the driver and two passengers. No officers were injured during the incident.

A 14-year-old male and two 20-year-old females currently remain in police custody and are expected to be charged later today.
