Police Make Arrests for Theft of Roof Sheets from Sites

Mundijong Police with the assistance of Armadale Detectives have arrested two people as part of their ongoing investigation into the theft of corrugated tin roof sheets from homes under construction in Byford and Baldivis although this happens across the metropolitan area.

On Wednesday 15 February 2023, police executed a search warrant at a home in Mundijong where they located a large amount of allegedly stolen corrugated tin roof sheets valued at approximately $15,000. It is believed the stolen items were going to be on-sold through online seller sites such a Gumtree and Facebook Marketplace.

A 29-year-old man from Thornlie and a 24-year-old woman from Mundijong have been charged with 'Possession of Stolen or Unlawfully Obtained Property'. They are due to appear before the Armadale Magistrates Court on 3 March 2023.
