Police make arrests - McDonalds Ulverstone assault

Police have charged a 19 year old man and four teenagers over the assault of a man and a teenager on Sunday 12 March outside McDonalds in Ulverstone.

Sergeant Alex Bonde said eight people involved in the incident have been identified and investigations are ongoing.

"Video footage of the assault was circulated on both social and mainstream media. The footage was confronting to watch, and this behaviour is unacceptable."

"Violent and anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated and people who engage in such behaviour can expect to be met with an appropriate response from Tasmania Police."

"We would like to thank members of the community for their assistance in the investigation so far."

"We encourage anyone that witnesses anti-social or violent behaviour to call police."
