It will be alleged about 9pm, the teenagers entered a home in Waterford whilst the occupants were home but unaware of the offenders, who stole a wallet and keys to a Toyota Prado station wagon.
About 10.05pm, police sighted the stolen Toyota Prado stationery at the intersection of the Promenade and Main Street in Ellenbrook. A police vehicle pulled up next to the Prado with its emergency lights flashing.
A police officer opened the driver's side of the Toyota Prado and advised the driver to exit the vehicle. The driver allegedly accelerated heavily, dragging the officer along the road until the vehicle stopped and the officer fell onto the ground.
St John WA paramedics attended the scene and provided first aid to the police officer before he was conveyed to hospital with serious injuries.
