Police Release CCTV After Home Invasion At Moama

Police have released CCTV footage as investigations continue into a serious assault in the State's Riverina, last month.

About 6am on (Monday 29 January 2024), emergency services were called to a home in Annie Court, Moama, following reports a man had been seriously assaulted.

Police have been told, the occupant – a 23-year-old man – was struck on back of the head after answering the front door and a mobile phone and purse containing a wallet and cash were stolen.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man for serious head injuries and taken to Echuca Hospital before being airlifted to The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne.

Officers attached to Murray River Police District established a crime scene and Strike Force Kinkuna was formed to investigate the circumstance surrounding the incident.

As inquiries continue, police have released CCTV footage of two vehicles they are seeking to identify.

Police would like to speak to the occupants of a black Ford Focus or an orange Toyota Corolla driving along Meininya Street, Moama with no number plates into Echuca Victoria on Sunday 28 January 2024.
