Police responding to fatal motorcycle crash at Gladstone

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal motorbike crash at Gladstone yesterday, December 27.

Initial investigations indicate around 4:30pm, the Triumph Speed Triple motorbike was travelling along the Dawson Highway at Clinton before it entered a roundabout on Chapman Drive and crashed.

The rider of the motorbike, a 52-year-old Tannum Sands man, sustained critical injuries and was transported to Gladstone Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the incident and are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the crash, or may have relevant dashcam footage, to come forward.

Investigations are ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
