The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating a fatal single-vehicle traffic crash at Witheren earlier today, April 16.
Initial investigations indicate, around 9:30am, a tip-truck was travelling along Beechmont Road, near Rhoades Road, when it left the road and went down an embankment.
The driver and single occupant of the vehicle, a 62-yer-old Hillcrest man, was declared deceased at the scene.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash and are appealing to anyone who may have relevant information or CCTV/dashcam vision to come forward.
