Police have launched a search operation for a missing 44-year-old man, believed to be armed, after he was last seen in the Greenvale area on 12 September.
Marcus Bismark (pictured) was last seen walking along the Gregory Developmental Road, about 250km west of Townsville around 1:30pm, after his vehicle broke down.
Police and family hold concern for his welfare due to him having a medical condition and the length of time since his disappearance.
He is described as approximately 180cm tall, with a solid build, dark complexion, and black hair. He was seen wearing long black pants and no shirt.
Officers, including specialist police, have been deployed to the Greenvale area and are currently attempting to locate Marcus.
It is believed that Marcus may be in possession of a firearm, and members of the public are advised not to approach him if they see him and to contact police via Triple Zero (000).
Police appeal to Marcus, or anyone else with information about his whereabouts, to come forward.
Officers are also appealing for any potential dashcam footage that may depict Marcus in the Greenvale region on 12 September.
