Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Glastonbury

A man has died following a serious traffic crash involving three vehicles in Glastonbury near Gympie last night.

At 6.30pm, police will allege two vehicles were travelling along Glastonbury Road and collided. Sadly, one of the drivers a 51-year-old Widgee man suffered critical injuries.

A nearby motorist stopped to render assistance, when a third vehicle approached the crash site and collided with the two stationary cars, causing injury to the second driver a 54-year-old Amamoor Creek man and the assisting motorist a 28-year-old Lagoon Pocket woman.

The two were transported to Gympie Hospital with minor injuries.

The driver of the third car was not injured.

The Forensic Crash Unit will be investigating the two separate crashes and are appealing for anyone that may have witnessed or has information to come forward.
