Police responding to fatal traffic crash at Gooburrum

An 89-year-old man has died as a result of a collision between a car and bicycle at Gooburrum this afternoon.

Around 4.30pm, investigations suggest the cyclist was riding west along Tantitha Road when he collided with a car travelling in the same direction at the intersection with Gooburrum Road.

The 89-year-old man died on scene.

The 18-year-old woman driving the car was not physically injured.

Crash investigators are now working to determine the circumstances of the crash. Witnesses with or without dashcam vision are urged to come forward.
