Police search for David Dughetti

Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate David Dughetti, Victoria Police say.

A warrant has been issued for the 22-year-old’s arrest for failing to appear at court.

Detectives from Fawkner Embona Taskforce are also keen to speak to Dughetti following a series of incidents on Saturday, 8 October including a pursuit in Faraday and an aggravated burglary in Elphinstone.

A vehicle was sighted on the Calder Freeway being driven erratically about 8am and police started to follow the car.

The vehicle then collided with a police vehicle, causing minor damage to both cars.

No one was injured during the collision and the man drove off from the scene.

It’s believed the same man was involved shortly afterwards in an aggravated burglary at a house in Elphinstone.

Police have been told the man entered the Jennings Hill Road property and demanded car keys from the occupants.

He then stole a black BMW and drove off.

The victims were not injured during the incident.

Police have released an image of Dughetti in the hope someone recognises him and can provide information on his current whereabouts.

He is described as being 190cm tall with a solid build, light brown hair and moustache.

Dughetti is known to frequent the Sunbury area.

Anyone who sights Dughetti is urged to contact triple zero (000) or information can be provided to Crime Stoppers.
