Brisbane and Moreton detectives have charged two men with a total of 81 property crime offences.
It is alleged between 8 August to 11 September a 19-year-old Inala man and 18-year-old Inala man committed property crime offences across Brisbane and Moreton District.
Suburbs where offences are alleged to have occurred included Camp Hill, Carina, Carina Heights, Carindale, Clontarf, Coorparoo, Coopers Plains, Geebung, Gumdale, Holland Park, Kangaroo Point, Margate, Morningside, Murarrie, Norman Park, Pullenvale, South Brisbane, Stones Corner, Sunnybank, Carina Heights, Scarborough, Tarragindi, Wavell Heights and Yeerongpilly.
Extensive investigations were conducted by Criminal Investigation Branch's from Dutton Park, Upper Mount Gravatt, Indooroopilly, Carseldine, and Redcliffe.
Around 9.30pm on 15 September, officers from Dutton Park and Upper Mount Gravatt Property Crime teams attended a Frangipani Street residence in Inala.
A search of the premises resulted in the location of the two men hiding in a roof cavity. The pair were arrested without incident.
The 18-year-old Inala man was charged with 35 offences including, seven counts each of UUMV - use in company and enter dwelling and commit, five counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent at night in company, four counts of attempted enter dwelling at night whist armed in company, three counts of enter dwelling with intent at night in company, two counts each of enter dwelling with intent in company, enter premises and commit indictable offence by break and attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, and one count each of enter dwelling with intent company damages property, enter dwelling with intent by break at night in company and common assault.
He was remanded in custody and is expected to reappear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on 24 September.
The 19-year-old Inala man was charged with 46 offences, including eight counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent at night in company, six counts each of enter dwelling and commit and unlawful use of a motor vehicle (UUMV) - use in company, five counts of attempted enter dwelling with intent at night whilst armed in company, three counts each of enter dwelling with intent at night in company, attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, two counts each of attempted enter dwelling with intent at night in company and enter dwelling with intent in company, and one count each of enter dwelling with intent by break at night in company, receiving tainted property, enter dwelling with intent whilst armed in company, stealing, UUMV - use, enter dwelling with intent in company damages property, enter premises and commit indictable offence by break and common assault.
He was remanded in custody and is expected to reappear before Brisbane Magistrates Court on 16 October.
The arrests are two of the of the latest under Operation Yankee Forge, a state-wide operation targeting property offences, car theft and robbery.
Operation Yankee Forge is a six-month, district-led, statewide initiative targeting high-harm and high-volume offences, including unlawful use of motor vehicles, unlawful entry and robbery.
The operation will enhance policing activities across Queensland to reduce victim numbers and strengthen community safety.
Police regions, supported by specialist squads, will undertake coordinated disruption activities across the state. Police will target high-harm offenders and work closely with partner agencies to ensure offenders are held accountable. With a strong focus on crime prevention, police will be highly visible as they prevent, disrupt and investigate offending, with particular emphasis on unlawful use, robbery and unlawful entry.
The operation will be locally led and centrally coordinated, leveraging the knowledge and experience of officers who know their communities best.
