Police seek help to find missing man at Surfers Paradise

Police are seeking urgent public assistance to help locate a 75-year-old man reported missing from Townsville and is believed to have been in Surfers Paradise today.

Jair Pickholz (pictured) was last seen at 8.30pm on Sunday October 25, at a residence in South Townsville and it is believed he has since travelled to the Gold Coast.

Police hold concerns for his welfare as leaving his residence for this amount of time is considered out of character.

Mr Pickholtz is known to frequent public transport and may be travelling up and down the Gold Coast.

Jair is described as of Hungarian descent with a distinctive accent, approximately 155cm tall, with grey hair and likely has a medical dressing on the crown of his head.
