Police seek help to locate rare Holden Monaro

Southern District Police are searching for a rare 1969 blue Holden HK Monaro, which police suspect was purchased with the proceeds of crime.

In September 2019 an investigation commenced into in the cultivation of cannabis at a premises in Gum Court, Morphett Vale.

The following month, police located 15 cannabis plants growing hydroponically along with prescribed equipment and various collectable items suspected of being obtained via the proceeds of cannabis cultivation, including a rare coin collection.

Police later searched a nearby workshop in Boulder Court, Morphett Vale with 35 cannabis plants found growing hydroponically, along with prescribed equipment and a number of high-value vehicles including two Harley Davidson motorcycles and a classic HK Monaro

When police returned to the premises to seize the Monaro, it had been removed from the workshop. Its current location is unknown.

Police are attempting to identify the whereabouts of the Monaro which is now subject to seizure.

The car's registration is S836BRJ.
