Police seek information after suspicious house fires at Griffith

Police are appealing for information following two suspicious house fires in the Griffith area this week.

About 8.20pm on Monday (5 July 2021), emergency services attended a property on Heath crescent, Griffith, following reports of a house well alight.

The blaze was extinguished, but the home was extensively damaged.

Officers attached to Murrumbidgee Police District established a crime scene and commenced an investigation.

About 6.40pm yesterday (Tuesday 6 July 2021), emergency services were called to Snaith Place, Pioneer, following reports a house was on fire. The house was also extensively damaged.

Both properties were vacant at the time and no injuries were reported from the fires.

Police are treating both fires as suspicious and are investigating possible links between the two.
