Police seek information on armed home invasion - Burwood

Police are appealing for information after armed men assaulted and restrained two people during a home invasion last month.

About 1.30pm on Monday 20 January 2020, the men – armed with a knife, hammer and firearm – entered a home on Brooklyn Street, Burwood, and demanded money.

The group restrained then assaulted two men, aged 33 and 59, while they searched the property, taking cash before leaving.

Officers from Burwood Police Area Command established a crime scene and initiated an investigation.

Police have now released CCTV of five men who may be able to help them with their inquiries.

The men are described as being aged about 18, of African appearance with thin builds; one is about 185cm tall, while the others are about 175cm. At the time of the incident they were all dressed in black and had their faces covered.
