Police seek information on Domestic violence at Parap

Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to a domestic violence incident that occurred last month.

At around 8:40pm on Thursday 21 July 2022, a young woman approached several drivers for assistance, near the intersection of Maria Liveris Drive and Goyder Road, after she was involved in a domestic related disturbance.

Police would like to speak with the passengers of a white SUV, which was approached by the woman for help. It is believed that they filmed the incident before leaving the scene and headed outbound on the Stuart Highway.

The driver is described as an Asian male, who was travelling with three passengers in the vehicle.

Acting Sergeant Jacqui Lynden said, “Domestic violence is never okay. We would like to thank the witnesses on the night of the incident who stopped to assist the young woman. Due to their actions, the woman was spared serious injury.”
