Police Seek Information On Domestic Violence In Darwin 16 November

The Northern Territory Police Force is calling for information in relation to an alleged domestic violence incident at the Darwin Waterfront on the evening of Friday 14 November 2025.

Around 9:30pm, Police were called to reports of a male assaulting a female, who is known to him, in a vehicle outside a hotel at the Darwin Waterfront. City Safe policing units attended shortly thereafter where a 29-year-old male was arrested, and an adult female victim was located with non-life threatening injuries.

The incident is believed to be a continuation of an earlier disturbance on a sunset cruise in Darwin Harbour where the same male is alleged to have assaulted another female, who was not known to him. The victim in this assault suffered minor injuries.

Following initial investigations, the male has been charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault and Driving Under the Influence as well as being issued with a police Domestic Violence Order. He has been remanded in custody to appear in court on 17 November 2025.

Police would like to thank the members of the public who contacted emergency services enabling a swift response and safe resolution to the incident.
