Northern Territory Police are calling for information in relation to an incident that occurred on Friday night in Alawa.
Shortly after 8:30pm, police received a report of an alleged sexual assault of a 20-year-old woman, who was found by a member of the public walking along Lakeside Drive.
Police and St John Ambulance attended and a crime scene was declared. The woman was taken to Royal Darwin Hospital.
Detective Senior Sergeant Matt Akers said, "The woman was found in a distressed state. Dog Operations was deployed to assist in locating a man believed to be known to the woman however, was unable to locate anyone in the area."
Investigations are continuing.
