Police seek witnesses - Criminal damage in Alice Springs

Northern Territory Police are calling for witnesses after multiple vehicles have been damaged in Alice Springs this morning.

Around 4:00am, police received a report that up to 20 vehicles parked within an apartment complex along Gap Road had their windows smashed by a group of unidentified persons.

Police later attended the scene, gathering statements from victims and forensic evidence.

Detective Senior Sergeant Michael Budge said, "The widespread criminal damage involving the smashing of all windows on these vehicles is a deplorable act that not only inflicts financial harm on the victims, but also disrupts the ability of these people going about their day.

"We are urging anyone who has information on this incident or who may have witnessed it to come forward and make contact on 131 444. Please quote reference P24017448."
