Police Arrest Four Teens At Murray Bridge

Four teenagers were arrested after a ute was stolen from a Murray Bridge home last night.

About 8.15pm on Monday 7 September, a white Isuzu dual cab ute was reported stolen following a break-in at a Kintore Avenue, Murray Bridge home.

Just before 8.30pm, police received a call after a white dual cab ute crashed into a fence on Gladstone Avenue, Murray Bridge and drove off.

A short time later, patrols spotted the stolen ute heading east on Brinkley Road before it came to a stop in Frank Court.

The four occupants were quickly arrested.

The alleged driver, a 19-year-old Murray Bridge man, tested positive to cannabis. He was charged with serious criminal trespass, illegal use, driving without due care and contravening the conditions of his learner's permit. He was refused police bail and will appear in the Murray Bridge Magistrates Court later today, Tuesday 8 September.

The other occupants, a 14-year-old girl from Woodcroft, a 16-year-old boy from Christies Beach and a 19-year-old man, were charged with illegal use and resist police.

The girl was also charged with breach of bail. She was refused police bail and will appear in the Murray Bridge Youth Court today.

The other passengers were bailed to appear in the Youth Court and Magistrates Court on 3 November and 26 October.

The ute was towed from the scene.
