Police seek witnesses: Serious traffic crash, Wishart

The Forensic Crash Unit is calling for witnesses to a crash between a vehicle and motorcycle in Wishart last night, which left the rider with serious injuries.

Preliminary information indicates around 8.20pm a silver Volvo XC60 SUV was travelling west along Mount Gravatt Capalaba Road when a collision occurred at the intersection of Ham Road with a red Aprilia Shiver motorbike travelling east.

The driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old Rochedale South woman, and four passengers within aged 7, 11, 15 and 18 were not physically injured.

The rider, a 30-year-old Alexandra Hills man, was provided immediate assistance from the driver ahead of the emergency response.

He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition where he remains.

Motorists with relevant dashcam vision are urged to come forward as the investigation continues.
