Police seek witnesses to Dingley Village collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit officers are investigating a collision involving a pedestrian in Dingley Village this morning.

Investigators have been told a blue 2013 Toyota Yaris crashed into the rear of a parked car which subsequently struck the pedestrian on the Mornington Peninsula Freeway at about 8.30am.

A man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the vehicle, a 50-year-old Cranbourne East man, was taken to hospital under police guard.

Police are investigating the exact circumstances surrounding the collision and are particularly interested in anyone who may have seen the Yaris prior to the incident.
