Police seek witnesses to theft and deceptions in Moonee Valley and Brimbank

Moonee Valley Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a theft and series of deceptions in the Moonee Valley and Brimbank areas last month.

Investigators have been told a man broke into a car in Strathmore and stole a wallet on Thursday, 17 February.

It is believed the man then used credit cards from the wallet to purchase gift cards and cigarettes at various businesses.

The man used multiple cards in over ten transactions in Taylors Lakes, Delahey, Deer Park, Keilor Downs and St Albans, worth approximately $1000.

Investigators have released images of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
