Police seize $400,000 worth of MDMA

A 47 year old Hobart man has been arrested by members of Hobart Uniform as a result of a search where a significant quantity of drugs and drug manufacturing equipment was seized.

In excess of 11,000 MDMA pills were seized during the search, which has a total street value of approximately $400,000.

The man was charged with a number of offences including:

  • Trafficking in a controlled substance
  • Manufacturing a controlled drug for sale
  • Possess controlled plant or its products
  • Possess thing used for administration of controlled drug
  • Destroy Property

The man has been detained to appear in the Hobart Magistrates Court today.
