Police Seize More Than 500 Cannabis Plants In Fawkner

Fawkner Divisional Response Unit officers have charged two men after locating a large, sophisticated cannabis set-up at a factory in Fawkner yesterday.

Officers executed a search warrant at a factory on Leo Street about 3pm as part of an ongoing drugs investigation.

During a search of the property, police seized 566 cannabis plants with an estimated potential street value of 1.4 million.

Two St Albans men, aged 20 and 45, were both arrested at the scene.

They have been charged with cultivate large commercial quantity of cannabis and have been bailed to appear before Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 30 July.
