Police trying to identify witnesses at Landsborough

Detectives from the Sunshine Coast Child Protection and Investigation Unit are trying to identify and locate two witnesses to the alleged indecent treatment of a 15-year-old girl in February this year.

On Thursday, February 25 the girl was travelling on a northbound train when a man entered the train at Caboolture Railway Station.

Police are trying to locate a female passenger, and her male companion, who witnessed the alleged incident which occurred around 4.10pm.

The woman also assisted the girl.

The child contacted her family who met her at Landsborough Station where police attended and arrested the man.

A 36-year-old man is currently before the Court on one count of indecent treatment of a child under 16.
