Police update 1: Fatal motorbike crash, Yalboroo

Mackay Forensic Crash Unit has charged a 28-year-old New South Wales man following a fatal traffic crash in Yalboroo last week.

Police will allege around 11.45am on September 16, a blue Toyota Corolla was travelling south along the Bruce Highway when it turned onto Cathu O'Connell River Road in front of a motorbike which was travelling in the opposite direction.

The rider, a 71-year-old Bakers Creek man, passed away as a result of the crash.

The 28-year-old man has been charged with one count of drive without due care and attention causing death and is due to appear before Mackay Magistrates Court on November 21.
