Police update 3: Fatal traffic crash at Windsor

Police have charged a man following the investigation of a fatal traffic crash at Windsor on the night of May 18.

It will be alleged shortly before midnight a black BMW SUV was travelling northbound on Lutwyche Road when it collided with a moped heading north that was being ridden by a 32-year-old man from East Brisbane.

The BMW then veered into the southbound lanes and collided with a Subaru sedan driven by a 23-year-old Acacia Ridge man before also colliding with a Jeep.

The BMW came to rest on its roof in the southbound lanes.

The man on the moped and the driver of the Subaru both died at the scene.

Today a 37-year-old Burpengary man has been charged with two counts of manslaughter and one of dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm (excessive speed and fail to remain scene).

He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today, May 23.
