Police Update 3: Shooting, North Lakes

A fourth and final person has been charged in relation to a shooting incident in North Lakes on March 24.

Operation Xray Rebolt was established to piece together the circumstances surrounding the incident on Lakefield Drive where a man had been shot in the arm, also impacting his chest.

Investigations indicate the man was injured after an interaction with a group of four people, allegedly three men and a teenage girl.

A 42-year-old man was transported to hospital in a serious but stable condition.

On Saturday, April 19 detectives from Redcliffe Criminal Investigations Branch with the assistance of specialist police arrested a 44-year-old man in Carina.

The man has been charged with attempt to murder, possessing dangerous drugs schedule 1 drug quantity of or exceeding schedule 3 but less than schedule 4, unlawful possession of weapons category D/H/R weapon - short firearm in public, receiving tainted property, unlawful possession of vehicles, possess utensils of pipes, possession of property suspected of being the proceeds of an offence under Drugs Misuse Act, authority required to possess explosives.

He was refused police bail and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Monday, April 21.
