Police update: Appeal for information: Officer hit by stolen vehicle at Salisbury

Upper Mount Gravatt Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) Detectives investigating the attempted murder of a police officer at Salisbury earlier this week have charged a man and continue to appeal for information to locate the second man.

Around 7.45pm last night police attended a Collie Crescent house in Ormeau Hills and located a 19-year-old Marsden man.

Police will allege the man was the driver of Mercedes C250 sedan that struck Senior Constable Luke Zannier on Orange Grove Road on Wednesday.

The man has been charged with one count each of attempt to murder, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, failure to comply with requirement to stop vehicle, driver fail to remain at incident and render assistance and disqualified driving.

He was denied police bail and will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court today.

Detectives would like 29-year-old Cody William Harrison (pictured) to come forward or make contact, as it is believed he may be able to assist with inquiries.

Additionally, anyone that knows about Cody's current whereabouts is also urged to speak with detectives from the Upper Mount Gravatt CIB and information can be provided anonymously.

Investigators would like to thank the community for their assistance with the investigation to date and are continuing to encourage witnesses or those with footage, who have not yet come forward, to contact police.

The Queensland Police Service would also like to thank the community for the positive support for Senior Constable Luke Zannier, who is recovering in hospital.
