Swan Hill Rural City Council is encouraging local manufacturers, producers and small to medium-sized businesses to explore opportunities to grow through international markets.
The Growing Export Opportunities in the Loddon Mallee event has been rescheduled to 23 September 2026 at the Swan Hill Tourism and Cultural Experience Centre.
Hosted in partnership with Regional Development Australia - Loddon Mallee, Global Victoria, Regional Development Victoria and Gannawarra Shire Council, the free event will provide practical advice and information for businesses interested in exporting.
Swan Hill Rural City Council's acting Economic & Community Development Manager, Nathan Keighran said the event was a valuable opportunity for local businesses to better understand what exporting could offer.
"We have some fantastic manufacturers, producers and value-added businesses across our region, and there is real potential for some of these businesses to expand their reach into international markets.
"For businesses that have traditionally focused on the domestic market, exporting can seem like a big step. This event is about making that process easier to understand and connecting businesses with the right information, expertise and support.
"Participants will hear about international market opportunities, products and services in demand, export requirements and the support available to help businesses build their export capability," Mr Keighran said.
Council Mayor Cr Stuart King said the event provided a valuable opportunity for local businesses to hear directly from industry specialists and experienced exporters, ask questions and build connections that could help them explore new markets.
"I encourage businesses from across Swan Hill and Gannawarra that are interested in exploring their export potential to come along and see what opportunities may be available," Cr King said.
Growing Export Opportunities in the Loddon Mallee will be held from 10.30am to 1pm on Wednesday, 23 September 2026, at the Swan Hill Tourism and Cultural Experience Centre, 125 Monash Drive, Swan Hill.
The event is free to attend, however registrations are essential.
